39 Observed tongs used to handle pickles stored in a bucket with standing, room-temperature (72 degrees Fahrenheit (F)). If the owner wants to continue storing the tongs in water, then they MUST ensure that the water is constantly flowing/ circulating, or the water MUST always be at 135 F or higher. Inspector highly recommends taking out the water and ensuring that the inside of the bucket and the tongs are frequently cleaned and sanitized. Ensure the following: 3-304.12(D) In-use utensils, between-use storage. During pauses in food preparation or dispensing, food preparation and dispensing utensils shall be stored in running water of sufficient velocity to flush particulates to the drain, if used with moist food such as ice cream or mashed potatoes.
39 Observed that the outside glass door of the Ice Freezer was broken and held together with tape. Ensure that the glass door is repaired or replaced by the NEXT routine food inspection. Ensure the following: 4-501.11 Good repair and proper adjustment.
24 Observed that the bags of ice were NOT properly labeled/ The bas of ice are required to have labels that state: the common name of the food item (“ice”), the name of the business that produces the ice, and the address of the business where the ice was made from. Ensure the following: 3-602.11(A) Food packaged in a establishment, shall be labeled as specified in law. 3-602.11(B)(1) Label include the common name of the food, an adequately descriptive identity statement. 3-602.11(B)(4) Label include the name and place of business of the manufacturer, packer, or distributor.
7 Observed adulterated Classic Frank’s hot dogs inside the establishment. The hot dogs had a different color compared to an unadulterated pack, and there were white substances inside the packaging. Ensure that all adulterated food items are taken off the shelf and returned to the distributor or discarded to prevent customers from consuming them. The staff moved the hot dogs off the shelf and placed them in the walk-in cooler (shall return to distributor). Ensure the following: 3-101.11 Food safe, good condition, unadulterated, and honestly presented.
45 Observed dirty floors in the ice machine storage room. Observed broken glass on the floor of the walk-in cooler that stores beers. Ensure that all walls, floors, and ceilings are frequently cleaned and sanitized. Ensure the following: 6-501.12 Cleaning, frequency and RESTRICTIONs.
